Inflația scade puternic în România. Benzina și motorina s-au scumpit cu peste 6% într-o singură lună

The annual inflation rate decreased to 6.2% in August from 8.2% in July, according to the National Institute of Statistics. Consumer prices rose by 0.22% compared to the previous month, with significant increases in fuel prices. Fuel prices saw a notable rise, with gasoline up by 6.64% and diesel by 6.12% in August alone. Compared to December 2025, gasoline prices are 25.43% higher, while diesel is up by 35.75%. In contrast, food prices fell by 0.71% in August, particularly for vegetables and fruits. However, some food items like oil and pork saw price increases. Service prices also rose by 0.71% from July, with an average increase of 11.28% compared to August 2025. Rent prices surged by 39.70% year-on-year.
