Inflația în zona euro a ajuns în august la cel mai ridicat nivel din ultimii trei ani
In August, the annual inflation rate in the Eurozone exceeded 3%, reaching its highest level in three years due to rising energy prices. This increase supports the European Central Bank's potential interest rate hike in the upcoming monetary policy meeting. Eurostat's preliminary estimate shows inflation rose to 3.3% from 2.9% in July, primarily driven by a 14.3% annual increase in energy prices. Meanwhile, core inflation decreased to 2.4%, indicating that energy price hikes have not yet triggered second-round effects. The unemployment rate remained stable at 6.4% in the Eurozone, suggesting a cautious approach to monetary policy adjustments.
