Romania's inflation rate has dropped to 8.2%, the lowest in a year, according to the National Institute of Statistics. The decline is notable, especially in services, which saw a 13.62% increase. Non-food goods rose by 7.93%, while food prices increased by 5.03%. Despite the positive trend, the National Bank of Romania had previously projected inflation to stabilize only by late 2027. Significant price hikes were noted in various categories, with coffee experiencing the highest increase at 19.47%. Some prices, however, have decreased, including sugar and flour.
