Inflaţia a coborât la 8,16% în luna iulie, iar tendința de scădere va continua

Inflation in Romania decreased to 8.16% in July, continuing a downward trend due to favorable base effects. The National Institute of Statistics reported that services increased by 13.67%, non-food goods by 7.93%, and food items by 5.03%. The average inflation rate for the last 12 months was 9.8%. The National Bank of Romania revised its inflation forecast for the end of 2026 to 5.5%, expecting it to drop to 2.9% by the end of 2027. This decline in inflation is seen as beneficial for the economy, which has been impacted by rising prices.
