Inelul din bronz descoperit pe o insulă scufundată din Mediterana. Sigiliul său înfăţişează o minune a Antichităţii

A bronze seal ring depicting the Lighthouse of Alexandria has been discovered underwater near Alexandria, Egypt. This artifact, found in the ruins of the submerged Antirhodos island palace, is the first of its kind featuring the lighthouse. The image resembles representations found on ancient coins from the 2nd century. The discovery highlights the palace's historical significance as a center of power during the Ptolemaic period. The lighthouse, built around 280 BC, was considered one of the wonders of the ancient world and served as a navigational aid until its destruction. Researchers believe the ring may have been used for sealing documents, possibly indicating administrative functions related to the lighthouse.
