In the first half of 2026, Romania's industrial turnover decreased by 0.5% compared to the previous year, primarily due to a 0.9% drop in manufacturing. However, the extractive industry saw a significant increase of 10.2%. In June, industrial turnover rose by 6.1% from the previous month, driven by a 29.1% increase in the extractive sector and a 5.1% rise in manufacturing. Year-on-year, June 2026 also showed a 4.4% increase in industrial turnover, with notable growth in the extractive industry (+49.7%) and manufacturing (+2.8%).
