Nearly 13,000 people were displaced after a 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck Flores Island in Indonesia, resulting in 53 deaths and over 100 injuries. Many are seeking shelter in schools and makeshift tents, as their homes are uninhabitable. Survivors expressed frustration over delayed aid, while the Indonesian Air Force began transporting emergency supplies. Search and rescue operations are ongoing, with no missing persons reported so far. The earthquake has severely impacted at least 914 homes and posed safety risks for around 8,000 children.
