Inditex is funding a new international research project aimed at transforming beer production waste into sustainable textile materials. This initiative, led by the University of A Coruña in collaboration with MIT, seeks to analyze how hop plant waste can be repurposed. The project is part of the MIT-Spain Inditex Circularity Seed Fund, which supports innovative solutions for circular economy in the textile industry. Researchers will explore the potential of these by-products for creating textile fibers and natural dyes, assessing their environmental impact compared to conventional materials. The ultimate goal is to determine the feasibility of industrial-scale implementation.
