Indicele PMI pentru sectorul manufacturier a scăzut pentru a treia oară în România în septembrie, alimentat de o creștere lentă a sectorului producție și de o corecție mai rapidă a stocurilor - Economica.net
In September, Romania's manufacturing PMI remained in expansion territory for the third consecutive month at 50.9, slightly down from 51.1 in August. This decline was attributed to slower production growth and a quicker contraction in purchase stocks. Encouragingly, the new orders index stayed above neutral, indicating sustained growth potential. However, the export orders index fell back into contraction. The PMI average for Q3 was 50.7, signaling modest expansion, marking the first expansion quarter since Q2 2024. Despite challenges, including geopolitical tensions affecting energy costs, the manufacturing sector shows signs of resilience, with increased employment and production, although optimism remains cautious among businesses. Raw material costs rose significantly, driven by higher energy and transport prices, impacting overall production costs.
