India ar putea devansa Japonia, devenind a patra economie a lumii în 2027, estimează Fondul Monetar Internaţional

India is projected to become the fourth largest economy by 2027, surpassing Japan, according to IMF forecasts. Japan will drop to sixth place, following the UK. The IMF has raised India's growth estimate to 7%, driven by strong domestic demand and a robust services sector. In contrast, Japan's growth is expected to be only 0.7% this year and in 2027, hindered by deflation and rising import costs. The IMF noted India's solid economic foundations, despite challenges from energy price increases. Japan faces issues like an aging population and rising interest rates, impacting its economic performance.
