The salaries of the administrators at the National Company of Mineral Waters (SNAM) have been cut by over 50% due to financial losses, while IAR Brașov's salaries have increased significantly. Minister Irineu Darău criticized SNAM's management and emphasized the need for a standardized remuneration system linked to company performance. The reduction at SNAM follows a net loss of 4.26 million lei in 2025, applying a coefficient that drastically lowers salaries. In contrast, IAR Brașov, a profitable company, saw its salaries rise from 4,720 to 20,400 lei. Darău advocates for performance-based remuneration and strategic development for state-owned companies.
