The Court of Accounts uncovered illegal personal expenses and allowances exceeding 250,000 lei at Alba Iulia City Hall, along with significant accounting irregularities. These include unregistered invoices, unpaid taxes, and misclassified investments. Retroactive salary increases were granted without proper approval, and allowances were improperly awarded to social service employees. The audit revealed 19 categories of errors, including unrecorded electronic invoices totaling over 19 million lei. Additionally, completed investments were incorrectly listed as ongoing, leading to a misrepresentation of financial statements. The report also noted unregistered assets worth nearly 132,000 lei in four subordinate institutions.
