The suspect, previously banned from flying in Oman due to extremist views, had worked for Oman Air before being reassigned to a non-flying role. Investigators are examining how he was hired by Flydubai and his access to the flight, especially given Israel's restrictions on pilots from non-diplomatic countries. The injured captain managed to unlock the cockpit door before losing consciousness, allowing crew and passengers to intervene. The plane made an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia, and both pilots were later transported to the UAE.
