The shutdown of the 330 MW unit increases pressure on the energy system amid rising consumption due to heat waves. The unit was safely taken offline after a leak was detected, and imports were used to cover the shortfall. Romania's peak import reached nearly 2000 MW, with a maximum consumption of 6,940 MW recorded.
