The victim, a 57-year-old woman, was attacked while cycling, and the perpetrator ran over her with his car after beating her. The court also awarded €135,000 in damages to the victim's family. The man was apprehended shortly after the incident, having attempted suicide by ingesting toxic substances. The murder was deemed premeditated, and the case is not yet final as it can be appealed.
