The construction pace for the underground passage at the intersection of Magheru and Republicii boulevards has slowed down due to gas pipeline issues. The number of drilled piles installed daily has decreased from 12 to 6 as only one drilling rig is now in use. The gas pipeline's route conflicts with the project, requiring a new 480-meter pipeline to be installed. This relocation is expected to take about two months, with the new pipeline connection scheduled for next week. The project aims to complete the underground passage by early 2027, with a total length of 340 meters.
