Începe marele pelerinaj de la Iași: 300.000 de credincioși așteptați la moaștele Sfintei Parascheva
The pilgrimage to the relics of Saint Parascheva in Iași has begun, attracting an estimated 300,000 pilgrims from October 8 to 15, 2026. Special measures are in place to ensure safety and manage the expected large crowds, particularly on October 13 and 14. Pilgrims can also venerate the relics of Saint Paisie from Sihăstria, which are present this year. A significant event, the 'Way of Saints' procession, is scheduled for October 11. Authorities advise participants to prepare for long waits and provide real-time updates on queue positions. A designated access route has been established to facilitate the flow of visitors, with support from clergy and volunteers throughout the event.
