Negotiations for forming a new government in Romania are set to begin, with designated Prime Minister Luca Niculescu meeting various political parties. The Social Democratic Party (PSD) has a broad mandate for negotiations, focusing on the country's economic direction. The National Liberal Party (PNL) also has conditions for their support, particularly regarding cabinet composition and fiscal reforms. Other parties, like USR and AUR, have stated their voting conditions as well. Niculescu aims to secure parliamentary support for a government aligned with European and Euro-Atlantic values, presenting a realistic governance program. He is the fourth candidate nominated by Nicușor Dan, following three unsuccessful attempts to form a government.
