Încep lucrările la Curtea Veche din București. PMB: Cel mai vechi monument medieval al Capitalei va fi pus în siguranță

The Bucharest City Hall has announced the start of safety and conservation works at Curtea Veche, the city's oldest medieval monument. This initiative aims to address the severe degradation of the site, which has suffered from leaks and overgrowth. The current phase focuses on securing the structure rather than full restoration, with plans to repair roofs and protect walls. The project, estimated to cost two million lei, will last three months. Previous efforts to secure the site were halted in 2020 without any conservation measures taken. Curtea Veche holds significant historical value, having been home to notable rulers and contributing to the city's identity. Future restoration works are planned after the current phase is completed.
