An unidentified individual ignited a fire near the embassy's fence, which spread to surrounding vegetation. An embassy employee extinguished the flames before firefighters arrived. No injuries were reported, but there was material damage. The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the incident is considered minor but an investigation is ongoing, with cooperation from Romanian authorities.
