Incendiu subteran în Parcul Natural Lunca Mureşului

A subterranean fire is currently active in the dried riverbed of Mureșul Mort, affecting the natural habitat in Lunca Mureșului Natural Park. Local authorities are managing the situation with a specialized working group. Despite recent rain, the fire persists, prompting proposals for flooding the area with treated water. The fire has expanded significantly since June, affecting around 30 hectares of forest. Firefighters have intervened multiple times but have not yet extinguished the underground blaze, which poses risks to nearby forest areas.
