A significant fire affected around eight hectares of forest in Corbești, Bihor, with 40 firefighters battling the flames for six hours. This incident was part of 24 fires reported over the weekend, which also included 16 hectares of forest burned in Ceișoara and nearly 70 hectares of agricultural land. Firefighters managed to extinguish the fire by 10:30 PM, but later discovered smoldering hotspots. The fires were exacerbated by dry vegetation and high temperatures, prompting warnings from ISU Crișana about the risks of fire spread. Legal penalties for burning vegetation range from 7,500 to 100,000 lei.
