A wildfire on the Greek island of Skyros has prompted evacuations as firefighters battle the flames amid strong winds. Approximately 100 firefighters, supported by aircraft and ground vehicles, are engaged in the efforts. The mayor confirmed the evacuation of the Pefko area as a precaution, although no other localities are currently threatened. Skyros is experiencing a high risk of vegetation fires, rated at level 4.
