A fire on the Croatian island of Brac has led to the evacuation of around 500 people as it destroyed 3,500 hectares of vegetation. The fire, which started on Thursday, remains active but conditions improved significantly by Sunday morning. Two individuals were injured, one seriously. Evacuations were primarily conducted by boats, including a group of 40 Hungarian tourists. The fire has caused damage to infrastructure in a tourist complex, and over 220 firefighters, supported by aircraft, have been battling the flames. Croatia is experiencing a particularly dry summer, exacerbating wildfire risks.
