A fire broke out in a student dormitory in Cluj-Napoca, leading to the evacuation of around 200 students. Three individuals required oxygen due to smoke inhalation. The fire reportedly started from an electrical malfunction. The incident occurred around 1:00 AM in the Hașdeu Campus, where two foreign students alerted the staff after escaping their room. Firefighters found 13 more people inside during their search. All students were relocated to another building as a precaution. Authorities have opened a criminal investigation for negligence, while the university conducts its own inquiry into the incident.
