A fire broke out at the Babeș-Bolyai University dormitory in Cluj, leading to the evacuation of nearly 200 students. The incident occurred on the fifth floor of Dormitory 17, with most students self-evacuating before firefighters arrived. Thirteen students were found and assisted, with three requiring oxygen but none hospitalized. The university established a crisis cell and is conducting its own investigation into the cause of the fire. Evacuated students were temporarily housed in Dormitory 16, and the university is coordinating with emergency services to ensure safety and support for affected students.
