Massive wildfires are affecting several areas in Caraș-Severin County, with firefighters using both ground and aerial support. Two helicopters from the General Inspectorate of Aviation are deployed, equipped with Bambi Bucket systems. One helicopter has completed 36 water drops in the Băile Herculane area to combat a fire in the Domogled National Park. The second helicopter is active in Petroșnița – Prisian, where the fire is spreading rapidly due to difficult terrain and dry vegetation. Additional firefighting forces have been mobilized to prevent the fire from reaching inhabited areas. Local authorities and community members are assisting in the efforts, and residents are advised to avoid areas with heavy smoke and follow intervention team instructions.
