Incendii de vegetaţie în Sicilia / O clinică a fost evacuată / S-au înregistrat aici temperaturi de peste 45 de grade Celsius
A severe wildfire in central Sicily has led to the evacuation of around 100 residents and 22 patients from a clinic. Despite the deployment of 6,000 personnel and 20 aircraft, nearly 50 out of 344 reported fires remain uncontrolled. The situation is exacerbated by high temperatures and dry soil due to a lack of rainfall. No casualties have been reported so far, but the fires have disrupted water supply in about 20 municipalities. Sicily faces increasing droughts and desertification risks due to climate change, with record temperatures previously reaching 48.8 degrees Celsius.
