The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office have charged eight individuals involved in embezzling over 150 million hryvnias from the National Guard. The accused include officials from the National Guard, entrepreneurs, and appraisers who conspired to inflate property prices. The investigation revealed that the National Guard needed storage space, but instead of purchasing directly, officials colluded with entrepreneurs to buy and resell the property at an inflated price, causing significant state losses. Additionally, other illegal activities related to budget funds were uncovered. Authorities have seized assets and continue to investigate further involvement.
