On Tuesday, over 70 firefighters battled large wildfires in Bihor, extinguishing three major blazes affecting 92 hectares. Six additional vegetation fires were also reported and contained. The fires in Șauaieu, Corbești, and Valea lui Mihai caused damage to a house and three outbuildings, but no injuries were reported. Firefighters faced challenges due to difficult terrain and wind conditions. The ISU Bihor reminded locals that burning vegetation is prohibited and can result in fines.
