GAC Group, a major Chinese automaker, is entering the Romanian market in 2026 with its electric vehicle brand GAC AION, already produced in Austria. The company will offer two models, AION V and AION UT, through Inchcape Romania, which will manage local distribution and service networks. GAC AION has rapidly sold over a million electric vehicles globally and aims to establish a strong presence in Europe with a design studio in Milan and a production partnership with Magna Steyr in Austria. The vehicles feature advanced technology, safety ratings, and competitive ranges.
