Încă 10 euro peste „taxele Temu”? Industria textilă cere o nouă taxă pentru importurile din afara UE

The European textile industry is advocating for a new handling fee of approximately 10 euros for small packages imported from outside the EU. This request, made by EURATEX and other organizations, aims to address the challenges posed by the increasing volume of low-cost imports, particularly from ultra-fast fashion platforms. Currently, a temporary customs fee of 3 euros is applied to packages valued under 150 euros, but industry representatives argue that this amount does not adequately cover the administrative costs incurred by customs authorities. They emphasize the need for stricter regulations on e-commerce platforms to ensure compliance with European standards. The proposed handling fee could significantly impact consumers, especially for low-value items, and may encourage retailers to consolidate shipments or utilize EU-based warehouses.
