Înalta Curte închide definitiv procesul Declic împotriva numirii Liei Savonea în funcția de președintă a Înaltei Curți: “lipsă de interes”

The High Court of Cassation and Justice rejected Declic's challenge against Lia Savonea's appointment, citing lack of interest. This decision effectively closes the case, dismissing Declic's requests to involve the EU Court and the Constitutional Court. Declic criticized the ruling as detrimental to justice in Romania, arguing it undermines citizens' rights to contest judicial abuses. The legal action began in 2025, supported by over 70,000 citizens, who claimed the appointment process was premature and non-transparent. The case was moved between courts before being resolved by the very court led by Savonea.
