The High Court of Cassation and Justice has lifted the house arrest of Horatiu Potra, placing him under judicial control instead. This decision follows Potra's appeal against the house arrest imposed by the Bucharest Court of Appeal. The High Court's ruling is final and allows Potra to remain under judicial control for 60 days. Previously, the Bucharest Court had maintained the house arrest until a new review. Potra is involved in a case with Călin Georgescu and others, accused of actions against constitutional order. The High Court clarified that the merits of the accusations will be assessed during the trial, not at this procedural stage.
