Înalta Curte decide astăzi dacă Alexandru Toader rămâne sau nu în arest preventiv

The High Court of Cassation and Justice is reviewing Alexandru Toader's appeal against his preventive arrest for sexual assault charges. Toader, son of former Justice Minister Tudorel Toader, has been in custody since October 24. He faces accusations of rape and sexual aggression involving multiple students from the university where he worked. Prosecutors allege that the abuses began shortly after he became a lecturer. The first incident reportedly occurred in November 2022, leading to the victim's withdrawal from the university. Following his arrest, Tudorel Toader claimed the situation is an attack against him.
