Înalta Curte confirmă definitiv amenda aplicată fostei Țiriac Leasing în dosarul privind schimbul de informații între companiile de leasing

The High Court of Cassation and Justice upheld the Competition Council's decision to sanction Tiriac Leasing for participating in anti-competitive practices. The company was fined 2.9 million lei for exchanging sensitive commercial information with other leasing firms. This ruling follows a previous annulment by the Bucharest Court of Appeal, which the Competition Authority contested. The investigation revealed that companies shared detailed financial data, allowing competitors to adjust their market strategies. Following the investigation, the Association of Financial Companies in Romania implemented compliance measures. Tiriac Leasing was acquired by Banca Transilvania in 2022, and the ruling pertains to actions taken before this acquisition.
