Înalta Curte a respins recursul Guvernului în procesul privind restanțele salariale ale magistraților. Nota de plată: un miliard de euro
The High Court of Cassation and Justice rejected the Romanian Government's appeal regarding unpaid salary arrears for judges, confirming a previous ruling. The case involved judges increasing their salaries through definitive rulings, which have been postponed by past governments. The Court of Appeal in Bucharest ruled that the government must pay the owed amount within ten days, or face daily penalties of 1%. The total amount owed is 5.2 billion lei, equivalent to one billion euros.
