Înalta Curte a amânat pentru a șasea oară pronunțarea deciziei în dosarul privind restanţele salariale ale magistraţilor

The High Court of Cassation and Justice postponed its final decision regarding unpaid salary rights for magistrates, now set for October 8, 2026. This marks the sixth delay in the case, which involves approximately 5 billion lei. The court previously ruled in favor of the magistrates, requiring the government to pay these arrears, but the government has contested this decision, claiming it oversteps its budgetary authority. The case has raised constitutional questions, prompting the interim Prime Minister to refer the matter to the Constitutional Court. The government has also redirected funds initially intended for salary payments to social aid programs.
