During a five-day inspection period, ANPC halted the activities of 17 companies and imposed fines totaling nearly 4 million lei. The inspections, conducted from September 14 to 18, 2026, targeted over 1500 businesses nationwide to ensure product safety and compliance with food legislation. The ANPC identified numerous violations, resulting in 983 fines exceeding 3.78 million lei, 663 warnings, and the suspension of non-compliant products valued at 123,000 lei. Key issues included unsafe playgrounds, sale of expired or low-quality products, and inadequate service conditions. The inspections aimed to enhance consumer protection and ensure compliance with safety standards.
