Georgescu was detained in connection with a case involving a 1.1 million euro fraud against businessman Răzvan Leu. He was arrested while heading to a swimming pool, and a search of his villa lasted nine hours. He and his accomplice will face a judge for a potential 30-day preventive arrest.
