The German army plans to establish a drone regiment with full operational capability by 2029, consisting of five or six companies. Initial operational capacity is expected by 2027 with around 350 personnel, expanding to 600 later. The regiment will focus on various drone capabilities, including short-range combat and electronic warfare. A dedicated testing and evaluation company will also be part of the structure.
