The Artis Association, which organizes the Romanian Film Nights, has been blacklisted by the government for failing to submit required financial reports. Despite receiving public funds, the organization, controlled by the Giurgia family, has not provided any documentation to justify its public utility status. The government has classified it as inactive, yet it continues to receive state funding. Andrei Giurgia, who is also employed at the National Athenaeum in Iași, reportedly benefits financially from both the Athenaeum and the events organized by Artis.
