Împrumuturile prin programul SAFE, rambursate în 45 de ani

Romania is set to receive approximately 2.5 billion euros from the European SAFE loan, with a 45-year maturity and a 10-year grace period. The disbursement of funds will depend on meeting specific milestones related to defense projects. The financing is structured in tranches, with 75% allocated for military equipment and public order, and 25% for national road infrastructure. The Ministry of Finance will manage the funds, while the Prime Minister's Chancellery will oversee the overall plan. Romania aims to increase defense spending to at least 3.5% of GDP by 2035, with additional investments in security and critical infrastructure.
