Aro Palace shareholders will vote on September 21 to approve a €13.5 million loan for the Mercure Hotel project, replacing the old Capitol Hotel in Brașov. The loan will involve mortgaging the hotel and its future receivables. The investment has increased to €18 million due to rising construction costs, with completion expected next year. The new hotel will feature 181 spacious rooms, including suites, a restaurant, a lobby bar, and conference facilities. Accor emphasizes the hotel's prime location in the city center, providing easy access to cultural sites and entertainment. Aro Palace has a long history in Brașov, with plans to transform its historic hotel into a Hyatt Regency by 2024.
