Importul de gaze creşte brusc cu 25%

Romania has seen a significant increase in gas imports, rising by nearly 3 million cubic meters daily, despite mild weather conditions. The import through Bulgaria has surged to 14.2 million cubic meters, with a new route opened at Ruse/Giurgiu. Domestic production has also increased slightly, contributing to a total of nearly 4 million cubic meters more entering the National Transport System. This rise in supply is likely aimed at boosting underground storage ahead of winter, with current storage levels at 78% capacity. While the EU has relaxed storage requirements, countries are still prioritizing stockpiling due to rising gas prices and supply uncertainties. Romania is on track to exceed 90% storage capacity by the end of October, relying on a mix of stored gas, current production, and imports for the winter season.
