The BNR's latest inflation report highlights rising auto insurance prices as a significant factor contributing to inflation, alongside energy and communication costs. The average RCA premium has risen by 13-14% since the beginning of the year, with most increases occurring in July. Inflation reached 10.42% in June, influenced by international developments and energy prices. The report indicates that the depreciation of the leu and rising telecom tariffs also play a role in the inflation trend. The BNR emphasizes the need to monitor the RCA market closely due to its impact on overall inflation.
