Winter has arrived at high altitudes in the Bucegi Mountains, with snowfall transforming the landscape at Vârful Omu. Images show a snowy scene and reduced visibility due to weather conditions. Meteorologists had predicted snow and sleet in the mountains, and the first significant snowfall has occurred in the Carpathians. A weather alert has been issued for a sudden drop in temperatures, with rain expected in the southeast of the country. At higher altitudes, precipitation will include sleet and snow, with expected water accumulation of 15 to 30 l/m². Wind gusts may reach 70 to 90 km/h in the mountains, particularly in the Southern Carpathians.
