Imagini din satelit: Rusia își extinde bazele militare de la granița cu Finlanda. Putin vrea să aducă în regiune 15.000 de militari
Satellite images reveal Russia is modernizing military units near the Finnish border to accommodate a new army corps of approximately 15,000 soldiers. Construction of new barracks in Petrozavodsk is expected this year, with visible progress in recent months. Finnish military expert Marko Eklund notes the presence of military vehicles indicating a mechanized brigade for support. Currently, around 2,500 to 3,000 Russian soldiers are estimated to be in Karelia, primarily air force personnel. The region hosts significant military assets, including a base with around 80 fighter jets and a depot with 2,000 tanks and military vehicles.
