Imagini din flagrantul unei mite pentru cetățenia română: 7.500 de euro, dați într-un restaurant din București. Două femei, arestate

Two individuals were arrested in Bucharest for involvement in a bribery scheme to obtain Romanian citizenship through falsified documents. The scheme included the creation of fake birth and marriage certificates for individuals claiming descent from Romanian territories before 1940. The arrests followed a lengthy investigation by the General Prosecutor's Office, which uncovered a network of public notaries and officials facilitating illegal citizenship applications for non-Romanians. One suspect was caught accepting a bribe of 7,500 euros, while the other was implicated in influencing officials at the National Citizenship Authority.
