The CEO of CNAIR reported that the construction progress of the Sibiu-Făgăraș Highway is at 44% for section 3 and 27% for section 4. Section 3 involves 470 workers and 117 machines, focusing on structures and drainage systems. Notable structures include two bridges nearing 60% completion. Section 4 has 297 workers and 251 machines, with ongoing work on earthworks and drainage. The total contract value for both sections is 2.96 billion lei, funded by the Transport Program 2021-2027. The Turkish contractor Makyol is expected to complete the entire highway by 2028, which is crucial for traffic decongestion in the region.
